BHS Starts to Settle In and Personalize

Construction is finally over at BHS and students/staff are excited to personalize and make the building their own.  With the start of a new school year, there was a buzz in the cafeteria about four new large paintings and a clay mosaic.  These works were created by 5 AP Studio Art students at the close of last school year and installed over the summer.

The paintings are 48” x 72” and are inspired by the Renaissance work of Giuseppe Arcimboldo (1527-1593) best known for portraits made from produce, flowers, twigs and the like.  One of his series of work is the four seasons.  Below are Giuseppe’s seasons aligned with last year’s AP Studio Art Drawing/Painting students Gabriel Dombrowski, Donald Roski, Noah Neault and Annalise Gormley’s work.

The Berlin red coat mascot mosaic was designed and built by last year’s AP Studio Art 3-D student Hannah Schulz and also follows the theme of fresh produce.
